Band Jam (Beginner Band Clinic)

If you could only use one word to describe this event, excitement would be it. At the beginning of the school day the Grade 8s met in the band room, collected their instruments and eagerly awaited the events of the morning. We then took a short jaunt to Gateway Community Church where Mr. Harvey Hiller and Mrs. Aralyn Bretnall our two brass specialists were ready to begin a beginner band clinic for the students. The rest of the morning was filled with the magnificent sounds of the students learning to play their instruments. The morning flew by and before we knew it was time to head back to the school for lunch. The students headed off for lunch, excited to take their instruments home at the end of the day to show their parents what they had learnt.
