Band 8/9 Trip

Dear Parents/Guardians,

On Monday, April 26 or Tuesday, April 27, 2010 the Harry Collinge High School Grade 8 and 9 bands will be attending the Edmonton Kiwanis Festival in Edmonton. The exact date of the trip will be given at a later time. The Edmonton festival coordinators have been held back with the release dated. As soon as the dates are finalized another letter will be sent home with exact itinerary.

The festival will be an all day event with students being excused from classes to attend this festival. The ensemble will perform at the Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre and will be adjudicated and then they will have a clinic with the adjudicator.

The focus of the festival is on learning. Each group is there to learn and grow from the experience of working with and adjudicator. The fee is per student for the day plus money for meals. The fee includes transportation cost, festival fee, and tickets to the water park.


The cost of the trip is $80 plus the cost of dinner. This includes transportation, festival fees and entrance to the water park. All school fees and band trip fees must be paid in full on or before Monday April 12, 2010. The school recognizes that not all families If you are interested in fundraising for the band trip please fill out the form below. On April 10, 2010 there will be a bottle drive. This is an excellent opportunity to decrease the cost of the band trip for your child.
